At St. Ciaran’s, our CEIAG curriculum is designed to inspire and empower students to make informed decisions about their futures. We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to explore their interests, develop essential employability skills, and achieve their career aspirations.

Our CEIAG program, guided by the Preparing for Success framework set by the Department of Education Northern Ireland, equips students with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the evolving world of work. Through engaging lessons, practical experiences, and access to impartial careers advice, students gain a deeper understanding of education, training, and employment pathways.

We work closely with employers, universities, and training providers to ensure our students have real-world insights and opportunities to succeed in a competitive global economy. From self-awareness activities in Key Stage 3 to tailored career planning and work experience in Key Stage 4 and 5, our program supports every step of your child’s journey.

Our transition years get to attend, along with their parents, a careers fair where they can listen and interact with exhibitors from various institutions and industries.  Pupils are also given a chance to find some key pieces of information to the benefits of studying certains subjects at GCSE or A-Level, employment opportunities after school/college and pathways to employment.
