Congratulations to Wiktoria Kinder who has gained a place on the 2018 Cambridge University Students’ Union (CUSU) Shadowing Scheme. Over 3000 students applied, with only 300 being accepted! She is pictured here with proud Principal Mr Lavery and Head of Year Miss Mallon.
The Shadowing Scheme will bring over three hundred sixth-formers to Cambridge for three days. Throughout the three days, Wiktoria will meet a range of current Cambridge students and other sixth-formers from across the country, and get a sense of what life at Cambridge is really like, in real time, with real people!
During the Shadowing Scheme,Wiktoria will stay in one of the Colleges (halls of residence), as if she were a student at the University. This will include eating her meals in the halls alongside current undergraduates and going to lectures, classes and social activities. She will also get to see lots of the university facilities, from the libraries to the sports pitches. This is an absolutely outstanding opportunity for Wiktoria and everyone at St Ciaran's is very proud of her and wishes her the very best for when she visits the beautiful city of Cambridge next week.
Wiktoria herself said:' I am thrilled to be offered such a fantastic opportunity. I look forward to shadowing an undergraduate student and discovering what life is really like at Cambridge University.
