On Thursday 5th October St Ciaran's welcomed Year 8 Parents/Carers, Primary School Principals and Form Teachers to the Year 8 Information Afternoon which was followed by a Mass of Thanksgiving.
We were overwhelmed with the exceptional turn out, further highlighting the fantastic connections St Ciaran's is so proud of: Home, School and the local Community.
Fr McEvoy celebrated Mass, where he reflected on this being the feast of St Francis and how our lives can be enriched if we become 'instruments of peace'.
A special thanks to our readers, offertory bearers and Ministers of the Eucharist for their support today and of course the choir and musicians, led by Mrs McGirr, who brought an extra special dimension to the Liturgy.
Thanks also to our Post 16 students and Buddies who always give of their time so generously to ensure the smooth running of the day.
The reflection, read by Mrs Gemma Quinn, Principal of St Patrick's Aughadarragh, emphasised what we hope for our Year 8 pupils as they embark on their journey through St Ciaran's.
