Wednesday 15th March marked the annual SCI (St Ciaran's Initiative) final
Over the last number of weeks, our Year 10 pupils have been researching local and national charities. This year over 25 deserving charities were selected and presented in RE classes. Eight teams secured their place in the final. All finalists spoke passionately about their chosen charity.
They were engaging, and informed and all of the participating groups shared a personal story on the reasons for their selection.
Mr Lavery commended the finalists on their oration skills and how invested they were in sharing how deserving each charity is.
We would like to congratulate the Year 10 pupils on this fantastic experience!
Sincere thanks to Mr Kieran Magill on his continued sponsorship of this event. It would not be possible to proceed without his support.
The overall winners were Cuan Mhuire (Aoibhin Hackett, Aoife Chu, Rihanna Treanor).
Special Recognition Award: Cerys Donnelly.
