It is a pleasure as Principal of St Ciaran’s to welcome you to our website and school.  Whatever your reason for visiting I hope that you will find our website informative in offering you an insight into the life of our school. St Ciaran’s has a long tradition of providing excellent education, founded in 1966 by Canon Carragher, Parish Priest of Ballygawley, the purpose of St Ciaran’s was to promote secondary education for all children of the area.

St Ciaran’s is committed to ensuring that our pupils are provided with a wide range of learning experiences both in the classroom and through extra-curricular activities.  Our dedicated staff provide opportunities for our pupils to be involved in sport, music, drama, community and leadership projects.

We are guided by our school motto ‘Fortis in Fide’ meaning strong in faith. As a Catholic school community, St Ciaran’s provides high quality, holistic education for all our pupils so that they can develop their full uniqueness and potential, in a climate of mutual respect, support, challenge and celebration. 

 

As a school we are very proud of our history, tradition and achievements.  For more than 50 years, St Ciaran’s has been committed to excellence and promoting achievement across all aspects of school life.
